About the BBBS Teen Board
• Big Brothers Big Sisters is an agency that represents over one hundred years of establishing one-on-one relationships primarily based on the needs of at-risk children who need positive guidance in their young lives. The majority of children in the program are from a lower income, single female parent household.
• The BBBS Teen Board offers students the opportunity to gain experience in leadership, volunteering, event planning, public relations, and collaboration with other teen leaders from different schools. Members of the Teen Board will learn about the powerful impact of mentoring in our community.
• The Teen Board will be comprised of students throughout Oklahoma County. Members will participate in and help coordinate many BBBS activities, including the organization’s primary fundraiser, Bowl for Kids Sake. Teen Board members can also serve as mentors to children in the BBBS program.
