Partnerships
We’re not just a good cause. We’re a good partner!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma is happy to work with companies to develop partnerships that work well for both of us. Because Big Brothers Big Sisters has a strong, recognizable national brand your company will benefit from any relationship we develop!
Our Mission
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma helps children reach their potential through professionally supported, One-to-One relationships with measureable impact, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities for all. Each Brothers Big Sisters match is carefully administered and supported by rigorous standards and trained personnel. Agency professionals strive for matches that are not only safe and well-suited to each and their volunteer, but also harmonious and built to last.
Our Programs
Site Based Mentoring programs allow Bigs and Littles to meet at the child's school or other agency designated site. Bigs and Littles typically read together, play sports or computer games, make crafts, or simply talk. Some companies select one school near their workplace and encourage their employees to serve as mentors for these students.
Community Based Mentoring programs, considered the traditional program, has Bigs and Littles getting together on their own in the community to share fun activities that they both enjoy. Amachi, formerly Mentoring Children of Prisoners (MCOP), is a community based program to provide positive role models for children who have one or both parents in prison.
